The Palazzo Della Gherardesca was unusual for its time in that its main interior space, the atrium, was originally designed as a secondary courtyard. Now covered with a glass roof, like the courtyard Lobby, the Hotel's Atrium Bar occupies a vast sun-lit and decorative space, serving lunch, dinner, and the typical Italian aperitif, afternoon tea, desserts, coffee and cocktails. It offers a selection of delicious and out-of-the ordinary drinks, from the Valentino, our take on the classic Negroni, to the Tiramisu Cocktail. In the evenings, live piano music creates a relaxed, informal atmosphere that extends outdoors onto the terrace during the balmy summer months. In 2017, the Atrium Bar received the recognition of the Barawards, established by Bargiornale as the Best Hotel Bar in Italy. In 2017, 2018 and 2019, Gambero Rosso awarded it Three grains and three cups, the highest award.
