Castello Il Palagio is a medieval castle of the 13th century just 17 km from Florence. It’s a historic venue with extensive areas of green such as the Italian garden, and a consecrated Chapel in the Chianti countryside among vineyards, olive groves and ancient churches. The central courtyard and the adjacent loggia, below the medieval tower, can accommodate up to 180 people. The loggia can be arranged for live music, a DJ set or a string quartet. Candles, lanterns and torches on the upper loggias and balconies in the courtyard, on the walls in the garden and main entrance avenue strongly increase the atmosphere of such a romantic mediaeval place. The Italian garden and the park with its central fountain, which both overlook the beautiful Chianti countryside, are ideal for any type of event. Civil and symbolic ceremonies can be held in the garden under the ancient Cedar of Lebanon or in front of the wrought iron arch, covered with climbing flowers overlooking the vineyards and the hills of Chianti.
